What are the common worries new learners have?
Many people, regardless of age or background, often feel nervous about starting automatic driving lessons. Some may have had previous lessons that didn't meet their expectations. At Accelerate School of Motoring, we bring four decades of professional teaching experience to every lesson. We pride ourselves on creating a calm and supportive environment – we never shout. We work at a pace that ensures you look forward to each lesson and feel confident enough to recommend us to friends and family.
What do I need before my first automatic driving lesson?
Before your first automatic driving lesson, you will need a provisional driving licence. It's also important that you are in good health. Sensible shoes would be wise. For lessons with Accelerate, we provide a dual-control car.
Learning in my own car
If, for any reason, you plan to use your own car for practice, whether it is automatic or manual, it must have the correct learner insurance, display L plates, and have an internal mirror for the accompanying person. Remember, this will be a reduced lesson price
What are your automatic driving lessons like, and which areas do you cover?
Due to the current long waiting lists for practical driving tests, our approach to lessons is highly flexible. Our lessons are generally longer than standard competitor durations, which means we don't need to restrict ourselves to specific local areas or rigidly follow predefined test routes. This flexibility is a huge advantage; if you manage to secure an earlier driving test in a surrounding area, you won't feel constrained by the availability of a specific test centre.
What test centres do you use
We typically use test centres such as Featherstone, Lichfield, Stafford, or any alternatives within a reasonable circumference of Cannock.
We cover 95% of the WS postcode area.
